Training Continues on Contract Interpretation Manual

The NPMHU and the Postal Service are continuing to conduct joint training programs concerning the recently published Contract Interpretation Manual. Training programs for the Western, Pacific, Southeast, and Southwest Areas will be completed by the end of October.

The CIM includes interpretations of the entire 2000 National Agreement, jointly prepared by the NPMHU and the Postal Service, and already has been mailed to all Local Union officers and stewards. A complete copy of the CIM also is available on the NPMHU website at www.npmhu.org. A CIM Resource Guide, which contains a copy of every national-level arbitration award, memorandum of understanding, and Step 4 or prearbitration agreement that is cited in the CIM, also has been distributed to all Local Union Officers.
