Council Meeting/Steward Training

The Council Meeting and Steward Training of Local 311 National Postal Mail Handlers Union are scheduling on April 14-16, 2004 at the Westin City Center Hotel in Dallas, TX. Guest speakers are National President John F. Hegarty, Southern Regional Director Jewell Reed, CAD Representative Dallas Jones, and National Shop Steward Trainer Samuel D'Ambrosio.

Council members are scheduled to arrive on April 13 and will meet on April 14, 2004 at 9 a.m. Steward Training will begin at 9 a.m. April 15-16, 2004.

The State of the Union address, the use of the Contract Interpretation Manual, and Article 12 covering withholding, excessing, and Part-Time Flexible conversion are some of the main topics to be discussed.

Approximately 90 officers, stewards, and guests are expected to participate in this annual training.
